I have been inspired by Carla Ten Eyck’s texture work of late so I decided to seek out some textures myself and give it a whirl. The image is my wife Erin 4 months pregnant with my son at lighthouse beach at the cape. This is my first shot at it so let me know what you think! Not to mention Kevin Kubota’s actions too! Toy Story 3 Promo, well not really, but I’ve heard rumors of the production and I’m totally siked! My wife, son, mother and I took a trip out to the sunflower farm in Griswold a few weeks back. I saw a post that photographers Justin and Mary put on their blog about a shoot they did there and I was very intrigued. Needless to say, 2 weeks had gone buy since I saw the post when we decided to go(1hr drive). A big mistake! EVERY SINGLE SUNFLOWER WAS DEAD!!!!!!!!! o.k maybe 10 where still alive. So of course, the only thing left to do naturally was to grab “my son’s” Buzz & Woody and take some goofy pictures. My wife thought I lost my mind, my son was laughing and my mother kept shaking her head. I felt like Chevy Chase in national lampoons!
Anyway, we had ice cream from Buttonwood Farms and all was well, after all nothing beats a day away from the norm in the country! Alls well that ends well.
