Well this was my second wedding at Water’s Edge in as many weeks and it’s quickly becoming one of my top ten faves! The best thing in my mind that they have to offer is the location of the outdoor ceremony. With the beach and ocean as your backdrop and if your lucky enough, a saturated blue sky with nice puffy white clouds, you can’t go wrong. For Scott and Jenn’s wedding we didn’t get the blue sky but we did get an awesome warm ocean breeze and 78′ degree weather. When I first saw Jenn she was a little nervous about the chance of rain. So I had to work my charm and assure her it wasn’t going to happen. I told her Dr. Mel and I go way back and he told me so. Thank God it didn’t rain :) They had a beautiful ceremony just like I told her she would and the rest was history.
I would like to say a special thank you to my home girl Rebekah Butler for shooting this one with me! Rebekah was the first photographer ever to give me a second shooting gig so it was great to return the favor.

Well as the story goes for most photographers this wedding season in CT, rain, rain and more rain. I haven’t seen this much rain on wedding days in years. I must say though that my brides have been total troopers. Dyan was no exception. We started out at the Avon Old Farms Hotel then stopped at the steel bridge in Simsbury, then to The Riverview. The rain tried to dampen our day but Dyan’s spirits were high and Jeremy was game for anything. Besides, I knew we were going to have a good time regardless. Dyan and Jeremy are Red Sox fans like myself so they had a few cool details in their wedding to display their love for the game. Check out the seating cards below, how cool is that!
Anyway, thanks again guys for having us along, congratulations again!
I love the wall paper they had in the hotel rooms. I thought it would compliment the classy dress. It reminded me of colonial Virginia except with a New England twist.
